Eligibility Criteria UP SCHOLARSHIP 2024 _25
Candidates must be enrolled in a school, college, institution, or university in Uttar Pradesh. The scholarship is available for various courses, including:
- Post Matric: Candidates must have passed the Class 10 exam to enroll in Class 11 or passed Class 11 to enroll in Class 12.
- Dashmottar: This includes undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, and diploma courses.
Application Process
New Student Registration
- Visit the official UP Scholarship website at scholarship.up.gov.in.
- Click on “New Registration” under the “Student” section.
- Fill in the required details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email, address, etc.
- Create a strong password and complete the registration process.
- Note down the registration number displayed on the screen.
Filling the Application Form
- Login using your registration number, date of birth and password.
- Read the important instructions carefully and proceed to the application form.
- Fill in details related to your education, personal information, caste, income, bank account, current fees, and previous year’s education.
- Upload a passport size photo in JPEG/JPG format (less than 20 KB).
- Review the information carefully and submit the completed form.
Submitting Documents to College
- Take a printout of the submitted application form.
- Collect required documents like mark sheets, income certificate, caste certificate, fee receipt, bank passbook, Aadhaar card, etc.
- Submit the printed form along with supporting documents to your college/institution.
- The college will verify the application and forward it to the authorities.
The application process is similar for renewal candidates, who need to login using their previous year’s registration number. The last date to complete the online application is December 31, 2024
Students eligible to apply for the UP Scholarship 2024-25 include:
- Residents of Uttar Pradesh: Only students who are domiciled in Uttar Pradesh can apply.
- Educational Levels: The scholarship is available for various educational levels:
- Pre-Matric Scholarships: For students in Class 9 and Class 10.
- Post-Matric Scholarships: For students in Class 11, Class 12, and those pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, or PhD programs.
- Categories: The scholarship is open to students from different categories, including:
- Scheduled Castes (SC)
- Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- Minority communities (such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, and others)

- For Pre-Matric Scholarships, the annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- For Post-Matric Scholarships, the annual family income should not exceed ₹2,00,000 for General candidates and ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST candidates.
